Celebrate Life This Month at UUCWC
Each month, UUCWC celebrates a theme with opportunities for you to deepen your connection within, among and beyond our community.
This month’s theme is the Practice of Freedom. Here are some ways to become a part of something larger this month:
If you are looking for deepening within, as you Celebrate Life
- June 1, Annual Meeting, 11:30 AM, Multiplatform, please see Weekly Announcement and emails regarding pre-registration for online attendees. A light bagel breakfast will be served in between the worship service and meeting.
- June 8, Flower Communion – We gather for our annual Flower Ceremony, an important, timely and beautiful ritual that reminds us of the beauty we made together this year, and the radical resistance such beauty symbolizes. Josh Lee and the Extended Family will be joining our choir to bring incredible music during and after the service! Bring a flower from your gardens, a local shop or weeds from the lawn. Everyone and every flower is welcome!
- June 15 – Summer CFE Passions of Our Community begins – Passions of Our Community is a program where members of the congregation share their passions with the children. It matters that we do this because it strengthens multigenerational bonds within our community.
- June 22 – Two Services! Every year, Unitarian Universalists gather from all over the world for our annual General Assembly, concluding in an inspiring worship service, open to all. This year, in Baltimore, the GA Sunday morning service will begin at 11am. As such, UUCWC will hold a regular, multi-platform service from 10-10:45am, then, beginning at 11am, stream the UUA Sunday worship service, too. Come for one service or both. Gather in the sanctuary with friends, or with pets in the comfort of your home.
- Lectio Divina (Reading Poems Prayerfully), weekly on Thursdays, at 10:00am.
- Connect, Reflect, and Grow in a Monthly Small Group! You are invited to join a chalice circle at any time during the year. For more information, click here. Contact Robin Pugh at rpugh@uucwc.org.
