Book Discussion: Race Rules:  What Your Black Friend Won’t Tell You, by Fatimah Gilliam
Multiplatform: September 19th from 7pm-9pm
Facilitated by:  Marianne Alt, Pam Shadzik, Regina Podhorin Zilinski
All are invited to this thought-provoking book discussion. Regardless of whether you are new to this subject matter or whether you have participated in past discussions, we are all learning together in a supportive environment.

Chalice Circles
All groups have open rolling enrollment. People join or leave a chalice circle throughout the year. Most chalice circles meet in the evening once per month on zoom.
Chalice Circles is a small group curriculum that uses questions and spiritual exercises based on the monthly theme to encourage participants to reflect more deeply on the theme, their deeper selves and the world. The format is simple. participants learn by listening, without interruption, to what their fellow group members choose to say and then share what they have learned about their selves through that listening. UUCWC has 7 chalice circles including one for couples and one specifically for people who identify as LGBTQ+.  Most chalice circles meet in the evening once per month on zoom.

Creativity Matters Studio
3rd Mondays, 7:30-9:30pm on zoom
Facilitator: Nicole Robinson
Limited to 9 participants
Explore where UUCWC’s theme of the month and creativity intersect in your life. Our virtual studio time will include centering and checking in, a creative warm-up, a journal and project share inspired from the packet. Reading the packet and spending time with a question, a prompt and a project before the studio is the way to explore how creativity matters for you.  This is for anyone who is curious, is willing to show up, and take small risks in a safe place. You needn’t be an artist.

UU Wellspring: Spiritual Deepening for the UU Soul
UU Wellspring courses offer spiritual deepening for Unitarian Universalists. Each curriculum incorporates five elements: 1) Daily spiritual practice; 2) Small-group connections; 3) Individual work with a spiritual director; 4) Readings and resources for knowledge and reflection; 5) Reflection and commitment to living our values in the world.  UU Wellspring: Sources OR UU Wellspring: Love at the Center are pre-requisites for all other UU Wellspring courses.

Love at the Center provides a sacred container for the class to learn to hold each other with love, trust, curiosity and generosity as they explore the recently adopted Unitarian Universalist values and covenants. Participants will deepen their spiritual lives through explorations, reflections, experiences and storytelling. The suggested resources will open participants’ heart, mind, and soul to their inner wisdom and the sharing in each session will open each individual to the wisdom of the group.   This holding each other in love seeks to inspire everyone to bring love out in the world.

Wellspring: Crisis of Life
2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings, 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Facilitated by: Heather Edwards and Kathy Frey
Prerequisite: Wellspring Sources or Love at the Center
Crises of Life explores how the wisdom and understanding of our chosen faith supports us during the challenges and crises of life. It is based on the book, Take What You Need: Life Lessons After Losing Everything by the same name written by UUWellspring Creator, Rev. Jen Crow, in which she shares the life challenges that have helped form her personal narrative theology. Crises of Life also delves into the essays in The Book of Delights by Ross Gay.
