allie_blurred2020 is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

Read the Earth Ministry Update and 2020 Calendar. We hope to see you at some of our upcoming events!

Earth Ministry informs and encourages UUCWC to care for our building, grounds, and the planet in ways that respect the interdependent web of existence of which humanity is only a part. The Earth Ministry Team promotes the use of green products at UUCWC and at home (light bulbs, paper products, reusable cups, cleaning supplies). At Sunday’s “green table,” team members offer the loan of books and DVDs about caring for the earth. The team coordinates with other church groups to support sustainable philosophies and activities (energy audits); with other organizations to encourage recycling and reuse (bicycle collection for the Trenton Boys and Girls Club); the Sunday hiking program; and Earth Day services and events. A representative of Earth Ministry serves on the Facilities Management Team.
