Earth-Based Spirituality Circle
The Earth-Based Spirituality Circle (EBSC) is a group of friends who came from various paths, who are on individual spiritual journeys, but who share common ground. Our common ground is our respect not just for each other, but for the Earth, and the cycles of our lives and of the Earth. It is a seeking for deeper meaning and understanding of ourselves, and of the Universe. Throughout the year we celebrate the Quarters and Cross-Quarters, taking time for joy, meditation, reflection, community, spiritual deepening, and just being.
Sustainability Circle
The Circle engages in a variety of activities to support and encourage a more environmentally sustainable lifestyle among UUCWC members and friends. These include sponsoring Fair Trade organic coffee, cocoa and chocolate sales, and bi-monthly used book sales to raise money for sustainable church projects. The Green Sanctuary Committee was formed out of the Sustainability Circle for the purpose of obtaining Green Sanctuary certification from the Unitarian Universalist Association under the 7th Principle Project.
New Perspectives
New Perspectives is a non-sectarian group for mutual support of individuals with depression, anxiety, and bipolar conditions. It is a traditional support group, not a therapy group, and is open to everyone, period. While the total group size is over 40 members, the usual group attendance averages about five. The group has been in existence for over seven years and meets every other Monday. There is no fee associated with attending the group. While the group meets at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Titusville, NJ, the group is nonsectarian and individuals of any faith (or no faith) are welcome. All information shared during meetings and group membership is strictly confidential. Group meetings are very, very informal both in dress and style. There is a great deal of warmth and humor with our 90 minutes together. We extend a heart-felt welcome to anyone who would like to join us.
