Celebrate Life This Month at UUCWC
Each month, UUCWC celebrates a theme with opportunities for you to deepen your connection within, among and beyond our community.
The theme for this month is “Beginnings.”
Here are some ways to become a part of something larger this month:
If you are looking for deepening within, as you Celebrate Life
- Water Ceremony, Sunday, September 13; Gather for our annual Water Ceremony. This beloved tradition helps usher in another congregational year by celebrating our unique lives choosing to become one community. Bring with you small offerings of water from, or symbolic of, meaningful places in your life.
- Ingathering Picnic, Sunday September 13; Directly following our Water Ceremony, stay for a potluck picnic! While grownups connect over food and conversation, kids can find their way to the playground and gaga pit. All are welcome! See Weekly Announcements for more information.
- New Members Coffee, Sunday, September 20, during Fellowship Hour, Multiplatform – Did you join UUCWC in 2026? We would love to hear how your journey has been so far! Grab a cup of coffee and join members of the Congregational Engagement Ministry and our Community Connector, Paul Muñiz, for a warm, informal conversation about your new member experience. This is a great chance to connect, ask questions, and share your thoughts with leadership and fellow new members. Contact Pam Shadzik to RSVP.
- Sunday Service Reflection: Every Sunday from 11:15am – 12:30pm in room 202 and online – Join Linda Hahola for a facilitated conversation about the Sunday morning service.
- Lectio Divina (Reading Poems Prayerfully), weekly on Thursdays, at 10:00am.
- Connect, Reflect, and Grow in a Monthly Small Group! You are invited to join a chalice circle at any time during the year. For more information, click here.
