Change the World This Month at UUCWC

Each month, UUCWC celebrates a theme with opportunities for you to deepen your connection within, among and beyond our community.  

The theme for this month is “Beginnings.”

Here are some invitations to become a part of something larger this month:

It’s all about Changing the World this month:

  • ECM Call to Action: Polluters Pay to make New Jersey Affordable Act (S52338/A3735). This proposed legislation would generate state revenue to remediate climate change-related damage. NJ voters can take action by emailing their Assembly representatives and attending a lobbying effort at the State House in Trenton during the week of Sept. 14-18th. For more information or to register for the event contact Geri Koblis at Earthministry@UUCWC.org.
  • The Food Ministry will hold a food drive from September 27-October 4 for the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off in the red collection bin next to the tables in the lower lobby. See the Weekly Announcements for a list of donation items.
  • Raise Right is a congregational driven revenue generating opportunity for UUCWC that takes place on a monthly basis. Gift cards are purchased for use in various retail stores and the church gets a small monetary rebate that becomes part of our fund raising effort. Join the effort by going to the Raise Right website www.raiseright.com or raiseright@uucwc.org
  • Weekly Protest in Hopewell Borough: Every Thursday, 5:30-6:30pm, corner of Greenwood Ave and Broad St. UUCWC members are there every week!
