Auction Reflections

The auction is both an important fundraiser and the core of social events for the congregation.  Here is what long term member George Faulkner shares about the auction:  “As a past treasurer, I know the auction has been critical to helping us meet our operating budget, and it’s usually succeeded beyond our optimistic expectations.  This dependence is not healthy, but hopefully we are moving to a point where we can rely on some or most of the proceeds to be dedicated to a special UUCWC need or charity outside of the church.  Also, the auction brings people together for many fun social events.  There are so many wonderful dinners and other events offered that Linda and I are always eager to sign up for several of them – benefiting us and the church at the same time. It’s a total win/win.”

Still not sure how you can make the auction even more successful?  Stop by the auction table in the lobby with questions, for ideas, or to fill out a contribution form.  Committee members will be happy to assist you.

Dates to remember:  Deadline for contributions:  March 24; Silent Auction Sundays: April 14 and 28; Live Auction: Saturday, May 4.
