Each month, UUCWC celebrates a theme with opportunities for you to deepen your connection within, among and beyond our community.  

This month’s theme is the Practice of Imagination.  Here are some invitations to become a part of something larger this month:

If you are seeking ways in and beyond our walls to Change the World

  • Spring Clean Up Days, Saturday May 3 and 24, 9 am – 4 pm – Join the Facilities and Earth & Climate Ministry teams for two days dedicated to cleaning up our UUCWC Church grounds. We will need all of the help we can get! Please email the church office at uucwc@uucwc.org to let us know which day you can join us!
  • Food Ministry Food Drive, May 4, 11, and 18 – The Food Ministry will hold a food drive on behalf of the Bucks County Opportunity Council. Please consider donating any of the following requested food products on any of the Sundays noted above: shelf-stable milk, cereal, canned vegetables, canned protein such as tuna or chicken, canned soups, pasta, and pasta sauce. A labeled bin will be available to receive donations in the lobby starting on May 4th. For more information, see the Weekly Announcements.
  • LGBTQ401, Saturday May 3rd, 10am-2pm, Hopewell Valley High School. Join community partner Hope Rises Up for this vital event supporting LGBTQ youth in our community.   • UU the Statehouse: Our statewide UU action organization, UU Faith Action NJ, is hosting a training at the NJ Statehouse on how best to lobby your legislators. Have you been looking to push the needle on issues at the state level? Come learn how to put your UU values into action!   • New Hope/Lambertville Pride, Saturday, May 17, New Hope, PA – UUCWC has been a central figure of our region’s largest pride march since its inception in 2003. Now more than ever it is imperative that we show up! Join with thousands of marchers as we loudly proclaim that UUCWC supports the LGBTQ community. Email Rev.   • RJM Library, May 18 – Racial Justice Ministry will be in the Crossings Room the third Sunday of every month after the service with our book/video cart and UUCWC t-shirts. If you have previously borrowed a book or video you can return it at that time or drop it off in the office whenever it is open. Please make sure to slip a note in telling us you are making a return (we often have several copies of a book out at same time). Come visit our table and browse the books/videos available – join the racial justice journey!
  • Talk & Tour Creating Wildlife Habitats, Sunday, May 18, 11:30 am, Rm 201 & Outdoors. Join UUCWC’s Jeanne DeMoss, also rep for Hopewell Valley Gardens for Wildlife and learn about UUCWC’s certified wildlife habitat and what you can do for your own backyard.
  • Earth & Climate Ministry Team Meeting, Monday, May 19th: 6:00 pm potluck (outdoors, weather permitting) Meeting Multi-platform at 7 pm. Discuss/review: Climate Justice Dialogues follow-up, River-Friendly and Green Sanctuary status.
