Guest Musician Carlos Santiago, violin, joins us for our multiplatform Sunday Service on Feb. 19th. He is a member of the Philadelphia-based Bismuth Quartet and is an active educator, performer, and improviser in Philadelphia. Carlos shares, “I believe in the power of music to create transformative moments in time, that may be experienced and shared between multiple participants. In this ‘sound space’ or ‘sound sanctuary’, we can challenge, cherish, and celebrate our humanity and move towards liberation.”
Carlos and UUCWC Music Director Erin Busch will perform Schulhoff’s Duo for Violin and Cello (mvt. 2, Zingaresca), Satie’s Gymnopedie No. 2, and an improvised reflection.
