On Saturday, July 9, Rev. Kim posted the following on the UUCWC Community Building Facebook page:
Hi folks, tomorrow’s sermon will obviously not match the blurb or title of what was originally planned. If there are folks in the community who you think would like to, or would prefer to, know, and who are not on Facebook, please let them know. It’s too late to have gotten anything out by email. Tomorrow we will grieve, cry, lament, hope, learn, lean on one another and lean into the hard places. I hope to see you there.

Board Leadership Update

All of us on the Board of Trustees join the full congregation in offering energy, prayers, and encouragement for Board President Kathy Frey as her hospitalization continues. With the approach of the new church year, it became clear that Kathy would be unable to resume her duties as president on July 1. With Vice President Mike Hanson (who, under authority of UUCWC’s bylaws, had assumed the role of acting president) leaving the board on July 1, the board recognized the need to ensure continuity of leadership. Dear Supporters and Friends of the UU Legislative Ministry of New Jersey:
It is with great pleasure that I join with the Board, Legislative Task Force Chairs and other leaders of the UU Legislative Ministry of New Jersey my first week as the new full time Executive Director of the UULMNJ.
This congregation-supported nonprofit–a combination of our deepest UU spiritual values with a “roll up our sleeves and let’s make it happen” attitude–has come a long way since it began in 2009. Read more…
