Update from Right Relations Committee (RRC)

RRC has held two Listening & Imagining Circles to begin the process of updating UUCWC’s Congregational Covenant.  Twelve participants have reviewed the current covenant, shared their stories, and discerned some essential aspects around the topics of Promote Welcoming and Encourage Full Engagement.  Some beautiful insights that emerged from these conversations are:

• People bring experiences, identities and ways of being that we are unfamiliar with and we may need to stretch and grow in our understanding to truly welcome them.
• Rather than encourage full engagement, we should encourage meaningful engagement.
• We understand engagement is an opportunity not an obligation.
