UUCWC Co-sponsors 41st Annual Coalition for Peace Action Conference

On Sunday, November 14, an exciting virtual conference will take place.  It’s the 41st annual Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) Peace Conference, and UUCWC members are invited to participate.

The Conference for Peace is preceded by a Multifaith Service for Peace featuring Sister Simone Campbell, as the preacher. Sr. Simone is the long-time Director of Network, the advocacy arm of Catholic Nuns in the US, and is best known for the Nuns on the Bus project.

The Service will be in person at 11 AM at Princeton University Chapel, and a wide range of faith leaders will co-lead the liturgy.

The Service is free and open to the public. Attendees must attest that they are fully vaccinated; it will also be livestreamed for those who can’t attend in person. A free will offering to benefit CFPA will be received.

The afternoon, virtual Conference for Peace will be by Zoom from 2:30-4:00 PM. Three outstanding speakers will present:

  • Sister Simone Campbell, Executive Director of NETWORK, the advocacy arm of Roman Catholic nuns in the US, from 2004 until March 2021. She is a religious leader, attorney and poet with extensive experience in public policy, and perhaps best known for her leadership in the Nuns on the Bus project.
  • Richard Moody is a former fighter pilot who served in the US Navy and the Royal Navy. He has undergone a transformation in his life and has become an ardent peace activist with CFPA, as well as a practicing Quaker. He has a new book coming out about his transformation.

Registration is with a suggested $10 donation per person and can be done using this link:

After you submit your payment information, you will be redirected to a Zoom registration form. This second form must be filled out in order to receive the Zoom link.
