Rev. Sue Goodwin’s last day at UUCWC was May 2, 2020. The Board would like to thank Rev. Sue for all she has given our community this past year, particularly her leadership during Rev. Kim’s sabbatical and the initial period of the pandemic. We look forward to her returning to give guest sermons and teach ARE classes after the UUA’s recommended time away from UUCWC. Rev. Sue will be working with Rev. Kim on a covenant and letter of understanding for this time of distancing from UUCWC. The UUA typically recommends a one-year period of distance after a minister leaves a congregation. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Rev. Kim or the Board.

Rev. Sue Goodwin joined UUCWC’s staff as our Minister of Congregational Life in July, 2019.

Sue was ordained by the New Jersey Association of the United Church of Christ (UCC) in 2004. She attended Drew Theological School from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude that same year. Sue did her Seminarian training in North Plainfield, NJ and Warren, NJ. She served as Co-Pastor of a new church start in Flemington, NJ for eight years. She then served as a pulpit supply minister and adult educator in a variety of churches, including UUCWC.

Married to Bill, a recently retired attorney, Sue is mom to James, Sam and Emma. The Goodwins have two dogs named Finley and Charley and live in New Hope, PA. Her hobbies include yoga, meditation, reading and writing.
