New Grounds Initiative – We Want to Hear From You

by Steve Saddlemire, Co-Chair, Grounds Committee

Our church and grounds are a very important part of the religious experience at UUCWC. Ongoing maintenance, keeping the grounds fresh and relevant, being environmentally sensitive and introducing new and different approaches to our physical appearance are an consistent goal of your Grounds Committee.

In an effort to keep the church congregation a part of this process we have requested and received periodic help in spring clean ups and flower bed revitalization. As an outgrowth of this effort the Grounds Committee is launching a new initiative to solicit your thoughts or ideas on how to improve or expand the connection between the congregants and physical facility.

Your ideas on trails, tree plantings, meditation areas, lawn space, playground equipment and flower/bush beds are needed. So take a few moments the next time you come to the church, look around and think about what might be changed or improved and send your ideas to Scott Drew and Steve Saddlemire at grounds@uucwc.org. Phone calls are also welcome.

We look forward to your thoughts and ideas.
