We welcome all couples to celebrate their marriage at the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing (UUCWC). Long-time supporters of marriage equality, our minister and wedding officiants are happy to perform a marriage ceremony that meets the religious needs of each couple. Couples have the freedom to design a ceremony that is meaningful to them either in consultation with our pastoral staff or with their own celebrant (upon approval).
Each couple can meet with the Rev. Kim Wildszewski, or another authorized wedding officiant, to plan a ceremony that reflects who they are individually and together. Your ceremony can reflect your religious values, your philosophical orientation, your feelings about your relationship, and the degree of formality you prefer. There is no fee for ceremonies for church members; for non-member services, Rev. Wildszewski follows the fee structure recommended by the Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association. Our minister or another wedding officiant can also schedule to perform your ceremony at a different location.
Our beautiful round Sanctuary offers soaring walls, natural light, a white interior, a large screen and state-of-the-art sound system. The space has no conventional religious symbols and seats 250 comfortably. Our lovely grounds offer many photo opportunities for the couple, their party and the family.
Our spacious Crossings Room is a welcoming venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner or a reception for up to 100 people. Downstairs from the sanctuary and adjacent to a commercial kitchen, it’s perfect for receptions or dinners. Your caterer or chef will have plenty of space and the right equipment to prepare whatever menu you choose.
