Green Sanctuary
UUCWC is working towards obtaining Green Sanctuary Certification from the Unitarian Universalist Association under the 7th Principle Project. The following twelve projects have been approved by the UUA, making us an official candidate for the designation. In brief, those projects are:
- Reduce, reuse, recycle
- Use of green products and reduction of toxic substances
- Energy conservation
- Water conservation
- Investment
- Education
- Organic and/or local products
- Landscaping and grounds
- Nature contact
- Environmental practices
- Solar installation
- Environmental and social justice
