Movie Night: “The New Metropolis”
New Jersey Regional Coalition, Capitol District
Please join NJRC for a community screening of “The New Metropolis,” a timely documentary featured on PBS in 2009 about housing opportunity in NJ and beyond, and the challenges facing older suburbs. Event features VIP guests, elected officials, and community leaders, with film viewing, panel discussion, and open Q&A. Suggested donation $15/$10 for NJRC member.

Transgender Health Fair
Philadelphia Convention Center
The Mazzoni Center, a nationally recognized health center for the LGBT community, is holding their its Transgender Health Fair on June 3 – 5. They also provide legal services for individuals facing discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. An ad hoc committee of the Joseph Priestly District has been formed to create a UU presence at the health fair; UUCWC is one of the sponsors of this effort. Volunteers are needed to help staff the UU table. Please contact Lynne Quinto if you can help out.

Affordable Housing Lobby Day

The Unitarian Universalist Ministry of New Jersey will be participating in an Affordable Housing Lobby Day, sponsored by the Housing & Community Development Network.
