Snow Cancellation Policy

This winter, the UUCWC website will post snow closing announcements if Sunday services must be cancelled because of inclement weather. Rev. Wintering Over Work Day

This past Saturday, some stalwart church members turned out for a work day to help ready some new garden beds for planting come spring time. Our grounds are maintained by our members and as Grounds co-chair I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who have come out for our three work days this summer. I am often astonished by the exuberant, almost giddy, amount of waste there is in the natural world. Consider the way a dandelion spreads its seeds, hurling so many in the air in the hopes that a few will take root.

On this beautiful, sunny Saturday, while many members were inside working hard on our Religious Education programs, I had the pleasant job of puttering in the shed while the kids played on the swings, and taking a walk around the perimeter of the grounds.
