UUCWC & SSL Participate in the New Hope Pride Parade

On Saturday, May 15, a group of enthusiastic participants from UUCWC strolled down the parade route in New Hope. Participants carried three banners — the UUCWC banner, our banner proclaiming “Marriage is a Civil Right” (which always gets lots of applause), and our new Standing on the Side of Love (SSL) banner as well.

Most of us were sporting SSL T-shirts. even the youngsters (except for the baby, of course) were trying their hand at “We’re standing on the Side of Love …”, which we sang as often as we could for the length of the parade. With our three banners, the bright T-shirts and our passionate voices, UUCWC got lots of visibility and our message rang out loud and clear.
