Parent / Guardian Contribution

Ours is a COOPERATIVE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (RE) PROGRAM. In addition to support of the RE program through pledges or direct financial contributions, parents are also expected to contribute some of their time and effort to RE.

Please sign up for AT LEAST ONE of the following. Thank you!*

RE Lead Teacher: Our Most Fulfilling and Necessary Position (September-May) At least 3 volunteers for each teaching team. Each teacher commits to teaching 12 times in 9 months. Training in September and support throughout the year.
Parent Helpers: When you register your child in RE, you are automatically placed on this list! Adult or youth volunteers who assist in the classroom as needed (approximately once a month).
Our Whole Lives (OWL) Facilitators: 4 teachers for classes on Sunday at 11 AM. One weekend training required (paid by UUCWC).
All Ages Faith in Action Team: 5 (or more) volunteers to assist with Kids Together Days. November 28, January 16, and one Sunday in the spring.
Youth Advisors: Team of 4 people to support our teenagers. Youth group meets alternate Sunday nights.
Prep Person: Prepare materials for class (cutting paper at home and dropping off on Sunday morning, etc.)
Religious Education Committee for Children and Youth (“RECCY”): Adult volunteers who support UUCWC staff in planning and administering the RE program (meets monthly).
Special Event Volunteer: Help with multi- age Special Events such as Homefront Holiday Party, Martin Luther King Day of Service, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.
Librarian: Process new books for RE Library.
