Hike Against Hunger: Reflections
Oct 19th, 2009 • Category: Committee News, Social Justice CommitteeWhile the weather was threatening, the Hike Against Hunger turned out to be a dry and enjoyable walk through tree lined neighborhoods. We strolled for 4 miles, through neighborhoods in Lower Makefield between Yardley and Morrisville. The temperature was perfectly cool, the terrain hilly, and the lunch was delicious. Local food merchants donate food for a cookout after the hike and the rain held off until the last person ate.
We hope that next year, UUCWC has more participants. It’s a great way to meet like minded people who care about helping others.
